I uncovered my passion for bluegrass music from my dad. From that point on, I was involved in learning to play the mandolin and guitar and bluegrass music. He made me the musician I became.

About Doug Flowers

Doug Flowers

  • is a veteran bluegrass musician and songwriter from Hephzibah GA. Doug performed on the road as a teenager with Betty Fisher and Flatbed, and after graduating college, formed the bluegrass band Avalanche with Eddie Hoyle, Jim Iler, David Blackmon and Chris Black. This group worked throughout Georgia until the passing of Mr. Black in 2002. Doug worked with various bands as a fill in while attending graduate school, most notably Al Osteen Band.
  • Doug then performed Praise and Worship music until 2008, when he returned to his roots and went to work with as an original member of The Little Roy and Lizzy Show.
  • In 2012, Doug joined up with Country and Bluegrass artist Clinton Gregory to form Clinton's bluegrass band.
  • In 2015, with the success of his CD, "Doug Flowers & Friends" receiving airplay, Doug put together his own band, The Doug Flowers Band.
  • May 1, 2017, Doug's new CD, "Doug Flowers- Favorites" was released to radio and public with tremendous success and rave reviews. The CD finished in the Top 100 list for Roots Music Report Contemporary Bluegrass CD; coming in at #23 for the 2018 year.

  • Doug Flowers is a veteran bluegrass musician and songwriter from Hephzibah GA. He  performs throughout the southeast United States with his group, the Doug Flowers band. Members include Aaron Lamb on banjo, Ed Dalton on guitar and Dwayne Flowers on bass.
